Meet our Chief School Officer- Ryan Hill

By April 18, 2018No Comments

Ryan Hill! My wife, Brandy, and I have three daughters: Josie (6), Noelle (4) and Olivia Marin (>1).  We enjoy cooking together as well as reading, playing, and talking. They all talk a lot which of course they get from their mother, kidding of course! I am who I am today because of several factors in my life.  Experiencing a chronic debilitating illness, especially prior to my time at the Crossing, was a very transformational experience that taught me to care deeply about the suffering of others.  Playing sports as a kid and teen taught me many valuable life lessons as did working in the family construction business as a general laborer.   As an adult I have found raising three children to be quite challenging and humbling while working at the Crossing has stretched and grown my spiritual life radically.  Working at the Crossing requires one to practice what they preach in a very serious, intentional and intense way. There are so many things I love about the Crossing but our students are at the top of the list. They are a challenge but if you take the time to get to know them, they will become your heroes because of the obstacles they have overcome. Also, I really love our staff. Great people with great hearts and skills, all mobilized towards a common cause. It is inspiring! I believe strongly that God created all people to achieve what he has placed within them. My aim is to empower students and staff to realize this potential through the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the single most important fact to ever permeate mankind. Having the opportunity to share the good news with students, staff, families and the community is simply too good to pass up!  I believe our academic and job training model provides practical skills for our world which students can utilize to meet their own needs and the needs of their communities. Paired with the knowledge of the Gospel, it is a complete package for student success.]]>
