A Note From the CEO-Rob Staley

The Crossing model addresses the needs of the whole student through Faith-Based Education, Job Training, Career Pathways and high school diplomas. This complementary-action approach is meant to provide each student with relevant job skills as well as the professional mindset necessary for success. Crossing students are doing exciting things: leading micro-businesses, participating in on-the-job training programs with local businesses, and lending a hand in their communities through volunteer work. To us, it is imperative our students leave not only with a diploma, but also a practical, real-world experience resulting in a career pathway. We are excited to announce the potential opening of four additional satellite campuses across the state.  Our current satellite campuses have been a great success, and we have been thrilled to see Crossing students change from simply surviving, to instead thriving. Here’s how it works: Students spend half a day in the classroom, and the other half day participating with the host business. Not only are students receiving industry-recognized hard skill certifications, they are also educated in soft skills such as positivity, teamwork, flexibility, willingness to accept constructive criticism, and a strong work ethic. Further, all students are given individual assistance in creating resumes and practice conducting interviews. Many times, employers are so impressed by students who participate in satellite schools that they are invited to enroll in apprenticeship programs, or become permanent hires at the host business.

God continues to show great favor on our organization. Through His grace, we continue to see an enormous outpouring of support within communities that are home to our eighteen Crossing locations throughout the state. We have just begun the second quarter of the school year, and we are working diligently towards our goal of 250 transformed graduates this spring. On behalf of our entire staff, we sincerely thank you for remembering us in your thoughts and prayers.
