F.A.Q.

WHAT ARE YOUR CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS?

50% of the curriculum is computer-based, with online and offline components that must be completed before a credit can be earned. Students must demonstrate they have mastered the material before they continue to the next concept. Some elective courses are project based and have no online component. Students are expected to earn a minimum of 2.5 credits each quarter.

IS THE CROSSING AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL?

Yes. The Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship is fully accredited by the Indiana Department of Education.

HOW DOES AN ADULT STUDENT QUALIFY TO ATTEND THE CROSSING SECOND CHANCE PROGRAM?

Adult Students qualify for several different reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Students must be 18 or pass their cohort year
  • Student by may be admitted under 18 if pregnant, court ordered, or emancipated

WHAT TYPE OF DIPLOMA DOES A STUDENT RECEIVE UPON GRADUATION?

Following Indiana Department of Education guidelines, students enrolled at the Crossing and pursuing a high school diploma can earn an Indiana Core 40 Diploma or a General Diploma (if documented in an opt-out form). Students pursuing a post-secondary career track have the opportunity to receive Indiana state approved Industry Certificates in addition to educational coursework and the skills necessary to become high-performing contributors to the professional career/work force.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND THE CROSSING?

The highest priority of all Crossing staff is enrolling students. Tuition to attend the Crossing is $7,000 a year. However, the Crossing has several different options for tuition that, following income eligibility of the Indiana CHOICE School/Scholarship Granting Organization guidelines, result in little to no cost to the families. 95% of the Crossing student body is sponsored by a partnering public school or receives a scholarship towards tuition with no out-of-pocket cost to families (must be between 18-22). There is a one-time, mandatory enrollment fee of $25 per enrollment.
