Fort Wayne Plays Basketball

By December 10, 2012No Comments

The Fort Wayne campus now has a basketball team! Coached by Dan Martin, the Fort Wayne Crossing Men’s Basketball team is up and running. Ten students came out for the team this year. The team has already had two very close games. Their record presently is 0-2 with a hopeful win coming this Monday, December 10, with their first game at home. The team has really come together over the past few weeks. They have shown a lot of heart and determination in their practices and games. The team is also doing well in academics, as the team is required to be present at school in order to participate in practices or games. Having the basketball team has also allowed for Mr. Agler and Mr. Caldwell to connect with players as they have helped Coach Martin in leading the team. “The opportunities to build relationships are priceless,” Mr. Agler commented. “We enjoy getting to know the students at school, but it goes to a new level when playing a sport that everyone loves.” The team will play nine games in its opening season. After their home game on December 10, their next games will be played in a tournament at Spiece Fieldhouse, December 22nd. The December 10th home game will be at the Primetime Community Center starting at 7pm. Please come out and support our Fort Wayne Crossing Men’s Basketball Team!]]>
